The project is a 17,700 sq.ft. Conference and Welcome Center that is a show-piece for both the City of Shelbyville and the Tourism Cabinet. The facility includes a gathering area and a large assembly space. Specialized lighting supports the architectural elements throughout the building while audio-visual equipment provides state-of-the-art components for the end user. The exterior elements provide a nod to both the past and present by using masonry rough-face stone, smooth cut stone, batten-seam systems and aluminum clad panels. To maintain respect to the site, three existing silos have remained as part of the design.
